வெள்ளிக்கிழமை ராமசாமி வெட்டாஃபீஸ் வெங்கிடுசாமி ( 7 6 2013 ) 4 படங்கள் முன்னோட்ட பார்வை

1. யமுனா - எஸ்.எஸ். ஸ்டூடியோ எஸ்.சிவா வழங்க ஸ்ரீஹரி பாலாஜி மூவிஸ் சார்பில் ஜெய்கார்த்திக், எம்.பாண்டி  தயாரிக்கும் படம் "யமுனா''. இதில் நாயகனாக சத்யா, நாயகியாக ஸ்ரீரம்யா நடிக்கின்றனர். பாலாசிங், ஆடுகளம் நரேன், சாம்ஸ், பசங்க சிவக்குமார், வினோதினி ஆகியோரும் நடிக்கின்றனர்.

இப்படத்தை இ.வி.கணேஷ் பாபு இயக்கியுள்ளார். இவர் பாரதி, ஆட்டோகிராப், ஈ, மொழி, சிவகாசி உள்ளிட்ட படங்களில் நடித்துள்ளார். படம் பற்றி அவர் சொல்கிறார். ஏழைகளுக்கு அடிப்படை வசதிகளை செய்து கொடுத்து அவர்களை தங்கள் தேவைகளுக்கு பயன்படுத்தும் கூட்டத்துக்கும் நாயகனுக்கும் நடக்கும் போராட்டமே கதை.

திருவையாறு தியாகராஜ சாமிகள் சமாதியில் இதன் பாடல் கம்போசிங் நடந்தது. வைரமுத்து பாடல்களை எழுதியுள்ளார். சுடுகாட்டில் முதலிரவு நடப்பது போலான ஓ நெஞ்சே நெஞ்சே பாடல் காட்சி அனைவரையும் வசீகரித்துள்ளது. இப்பாடல் காட்சியில் சத்யா, ஸ்ரீரம்யா நெருக்கமாக நடித்துள்ளனர். தணிக்கை குழு `யூ' சான்றிதழ் அளித்துள்ளது.  இசை: இலக்கியன், ஒளிப்பதிவு: பொ.சிதம்பரம், எடிட்டிங்: பி.லெனின்.

 

2. சொல்லமாட்டேன் -  பிரண்ட்ஸ் பிக்சர்ஸ் தயாரிக்கும் படத்துக்கு ‘சொல்லமாட்டேன்’ என பெயரிடப்பட்டு உள்ளது. இதில் சக்தி, ஜிஸ்மி, ஆதிரா, ஆதித்யா, ஜித்தன் ஆகியோர் முக்கிய கேரக்டரில் நடிக்கின்றனர். இப்படத்துக்கு கதை, திரைக்கதை, வசனம், பாடல்கள் எழுதி என்.பி. இஸ்மாயில் இயக்குகிறார். அழகான கடற்கரையில் அமைந்துள்ள சுற்றுலா தலத்துக்கு கல்லூரி மாணவிகள் வந்து போகிறார்கள்.

அப்படி வருபவர்களில் ஒரு பெண் காணாமல் போகிறாள் அவளை கண்டு பிடிக்க போலீஸ் தேடுகிறது. ஆனால் அப்பெண்ணோ கொலை செய்யப்பட்டு ஆவியாக வருகிறாள். தன்னைப் போன்று பாதிக்கப்பட்டவர்களுக்கு காரணமானவர்களை அந்த ஆவி பழி வாங்குவது கதை.

திகில், மர்மங்கள் நிறைந்த படமாக தயாராகிறது. இப்படத்தில் கல் ஒன்று முக்கிய கேரக்டரில் வருகிறது. ‘ஈ’ படத்தில் ஒரு ‘ஈ’ எப்படி பழிவாங்குகிறதோ அதுபோல் இதில் கல் பழிவாங்குகிறது. கல்லுக்கும் வில்லனுக்கும் நடக்கும் சண்டை காட்சியும் படத்தில் இடம் பெறுகிறது.

கிளைமாக்சில் வில்லனும் நாயகியும் மோதும் சண்டை காட்சி யதார்த்தமாக படமாகியுள்ளதாக இயக்குனர் கூறினார். ஒளிப்பதிவு: பாலு, இசை: ராஜ் மோகன், எடிட்டிங்: ஜஸ்டின்.

 

3.NAYAK -  Remarkable how NOTHING NEW is attempted by big budget movie- makers!! The same old 'porridge' is regurgitated and spat out at audiences !!

Fight sequences, dancing with blonde babes, duets in foreign locales and, and, and...... .....that's it! Got nothing more. Sorry folks.

 

The only scenes worth watching are the ones given to Brahmanandam. Finally he is given dialogues worthy of him! In fact the comedians have the only worthwhile roles here - they are the only silver lining in this long, long movie.

The movie does not warrant the hype. The half empty theatre is hopefully the Telugu audience's refusal to accept absolutely stale stories.

Kajal Aggarwal does not warrant any mention except maybe 'nice skin' !

Dear Amala Paul. Sultry bathroom scenes maketh not one an actress. And a quiz for the audience - saree with sneakers or saree with Ugg boots ...choose please and let Ms. Paul know which of the two is least acceptable.

Ram Charan . Hmmm. With a dyed-in-wool filmi background, he should have the risk taking ability to lead from the front and try newer and better scripts. Disappointing. But nice hair, man !!

 

The Story : Hero=good . Pomegranate juice=blood. Action=dishum,dishum. Villian=bad. Bone and skull macerating crunch-crunch = stunts. Whew !! The silliness goes up a notch post intermission.

Charmee as an item girl at a 'colony wedding' wearing very sensible black sandals (but not very sensible clothes) and surrounded by firang babes (yet again!!!!!) does not add any value to this movie.

Recycling an older popular song and a clip from Pawan Kalyan's movie will also not salvage this movie. Sorry.

Having two Ram Charans does not cut it either.

4.  After Earth-One thousand years after cataclysmic events forced humanity's escape from Earth, Nova Prime has become mankind's new home. Legendary General Cypher Raige returns from an extended tour of duty to his estranged family, ready to be a father to his 13-year-old son, Kitai. When an asteroid storm damages Cypher and Kitai's craft, they crash-land on a now unfamiliar and dangerous Earth. As his father lies dying in the cockpit, Kitai must trek across the hostile terrain to recover their rescue beacon. His whole life, Kitai has wanted nothing more than to be a soldier like his father. Today, he gets his chance.

What is going on with M. Night Shyamalan lately? I used to like him in earlier films like Unbreakable and Signs, but he hasn't made the critics and audiences gifted as it would probably if his directing career is in serious jeopardy. One of the biggest and toughest question is that simple: Why is M. Night Shyamalan directing in a new post-apocalyptic adventure starring Will and Jaden Smith? Did he ever asked to direct After Earth or did Sony wanted to choose any director that Smith had previously worked for instead of Shyamalan? For those who don't know, this is the first lowest-rated movie for Will Smith since 1999's disappointing mess "Wild Wild West," one for Jaden since "The Day the Earth Stood Still," and another bomb for Shyamalan.

After Earth feels like a re-cut of "Battlefield Earth" (Ya know, the Travolta movie we don't even care anymore) and sometimes half-"I Am Legend" and half-"Hunger Games." But to me, maybe it's the whole Scientology thing that starts to ruin the whole story.

The story is ridiculous, poorly acted (Smith sounded like James Earl Jones), mediocre sci-fi elements. How can this movie be much worse? I wished the late Roger Ebert was here giving a harsh review on "After Earth." Bottom Line: It's not going to be a big summer success, but it's another letdown for fans of Will Smith. I'll just pass on the movie instead of renting it on DVD.
